F.A.Q.

Frequently Asked Questions (F.A.Q.):

Q: Is TradingCardSets.Com legit? Are these cards real?

A: Yes! We sell 100% authentic trading cards. None of our cards are fake cards, replica cards, "artist" cards, or any other version of fake cards.

You can purchase from our eBay store link here if you would prefer to purchase on eBay. While our prices are higher on eBay due to the fees they charge sellers, our customers frequently make their first purchase from our eBay store in order to establish trust and then return to our website for better deals on future purchases.

Q: Do you ship internationally?

A: Yes! We ship anywhere that we are legally allowed to ship from the United States. We are based in Florida, USA.

Q: Do you have reviews available anywhere?

A: We have reviews on our eBay store (https://www.ebay.com/usr/tradingcardsets), and additionally on Google.

Q: How are cards shipped?

A: Most cards are shipped in professional side-load binders that prevent damage during shipping. These binders are wrapped in bubble wrap and taped shut in a snug-fitting box. Certain sets may be shipped with holofoil cards placed in plastic top loaders instead of binders.

US Orders over $200 are shipped free via USPS with priority 2-day shipping, unless you select a different shipping option.

Q: Are the exact cards pictured the ones I will receive?

A: Probably not, many photos used on our website are sets we have sold previously. Since each card is authentic and most are over 20 years old, each set we build is unique. Don’t be afraid to ask for closeups of any card or front/back photos that you would like to see and make sure to do so BEFORE placing an order or offer as no cancellations or refunds will be honored.

Q: Why would someone want to purchase using this service rather than building a set themselves?

A: There are many advantages to purchasing a set through TradingCardSets.Com. For one, our sets are ready to go and you will receive every card you need at once. Rather than needing to hunt sometimes upwards of 100 individual cards and deal with fakes, damaged cards, scammers, and processing individual returns, we handle all of that for you. For international Pokémon TCG lovers, purchasing a complete set is often the most cost-effective way to collect vintage cards, and it simplifies the process of dealing with customs and import taxes.

Q: What does MP-DMG mean?

A: MP-DMG stands for Moderately Played to Damaged. Any set listed with "MP-DMG" in the title indicates that the cards included may be in damaged condition.

Q: What condition are these cards in? What kind of quality control measures are in place?

A: Most modern sets are in Near Mint condition. Vintage cards are 20+ years old and conditions range from Near Mint to Moderately Played. We do our best to reject or replace any cards we receive that have dents, creases, folds, or other significant defects. In some cases, cards may have some edgewear, scratches, or whitening. Unless a set is specifically marked with "MP-DMG", the set will not include any heavily played or damaged cards.

Q: Why are these cards so cheap / so expensive?

A: We price our products competitively based on eBay's recently sold listings. We are open to offers on most sets. We sell cards across many third party marketplaces including eBay, Etsy, Facebook, and more. By making sales directly from our website instead of a third party marketplace, we can save as much as 25% in fees we pay for promotion and sale. In turn, this allows us to offer lower prices on our website listings than most competing listings on any other marketplaces. Think of it as cutting out the middleman. We also scout auction deals and purchase vintage sets and cards in bulk from certified card shops throughout the United States. Through these methods we are able to reduce the cost of acquiring cards, marketing, and card sales in order to provide our customers with high-quality, affordable products.

Q: Do you sell singles (individual cards)?

A: Not usually. If we have any single cards for sale, you can find them on our eBay page eBay.com/usr/tradingcardsets

Q: Are prices negotiable?

A: Yes! We are open to offers on most sets, and we additionally can provide discount codes for the purchase of multiple sets. Send us an e-mail at info@tradingcardsets.com or message us using the on-site chat feature to work out a deal.

Q: What will these cards grade?

A: We do not grade cards, and we are unable to provide an estimate for what our cards would grade. Many factors affect grading beyond simply condition, including centering. We are happy to provide closeups of the fronts and backs of any cards you would like to inspect for self-grading.

Q: Are international orders subject to customs fees, duties, or taxes?

A: When a package is shipped internationally, it may be subject to import taxes, customs duties, and/or fees imposed by the destination country. These charges will typically be due once the shipped goods arrive at the country of destination.
Such charges are not included in the product price or shipping and handling cost. These charges are the buyer’s responsibility in every case as we are only charging the transportation fee for your order. Tradingcardsets.com LLC does not have any responsibility on these additional charges that may apply. We never receive your customs fees, which are processed by your local government or tax collector. The buyer is responsible for obtaining information regarding their country’s laws, regulations, and restrictions that may apply when purchasing our products. By placing an international order (shipping outside of United States), the buyer is responsible for abiding by their country’s laws, regulations, and restrictions. If a product is seized and destroyed by the customs, or returned to the United States, we will NOT be responsible for the losses, product, or shipping refunds. It is the buyer's responsibility to cover the shipping costs when the buyer wishes to have a second delivery attempt up to 14 days after a product is returned to tradingcardsets.com.

Q: Do you buy cards?

A: Yes! If you are interested in selling your Pokémon cards, lots, or complete sets, please contact our partners Disco Cardz.

Q: Do you accept Paypal?

A: We do not accept Paypal as a payment method on our website at this time. This is primarily due to the fact that Paypal has extra fees and a lack of seller protections. If you would like to pay using Paypal, we would recommend purchasing our sets on our eBay store

Q: How long has TradingCardSets.Com been in business?

A: Our business, TradingCardSets.Com LLC, was established in January 2021. Our team members have been collecting trading cards for over 20 years.
